Building Your Faith: Exploring Scripture with the Pastors provides an opportunity every Sunday - whether you are new to the church or have been here for decades - to enjoy Biblical teaching from a passage with an MDPC pastor or a staff member with seminary training. There’s no homework and no pre-registration, but always donut holes!
For 2026, Dr. Clay Brown, MDPC Adult Discipleship Pastor, will be the lead teacher. His energetic, enthusiastic, and occasionally humorous unfoldings of the Biblical text will open your eyes to what the Scriptures teach and encourage you in your faith. Other pastors and staff will teach occasionally as well, including Beth Case, Dan Aikins, Brett Hurst, Dr. Rachel Poysky, and Dr. Laurien Hook.
This fall's study will be Clear About the Gospel: A Study of Ephesians and James. Here is a little bit about the study:
- It's a 20-session study of Ephesians and James, two books often seen as contradictory, but in reality quite complementary to each other.
- Integrated into the 20 sessions are four “theological focus” lessons on the issues raised by passages in Ephesians and James: "Election & Agency," "Grace & Faith," "Rich & Poor," and "Faith & Works."
- Sunday morning classes start on Sep 13, the Sunday after Labor Day, and conclude February 7, the last Sunday before Lent, with Christmas and New Year’s breaks.
- We meet at both 9:45 and 11:15am (pick one) in person in the Amphitheater (first floor of the CLC). For online viewers, the Zoom options are in the links below.
