This great church is built on a legacy of prayer, mission, and generosity. Those who came before us modeled how to build and maintain a thriving ministry to our church, our community, our city, and around the globe. As a Legacy Giver, you become a key part of the continuing mission of MDPC that’s building tomorrow’s disciples, starting today. Because of MDPC’s abundant generosity in the area of outreach, we spend our money differently than other churches. Often facility and maintenance projects are delayed in favor of meeting our outreach and ministry goals. Many of our new members list this as their number one reason for joining MDPC! For this reason, the Legacy Giving Capital Fund was established to help fund needed annual capital projects efficiently and effectively without negatively impacting our ministry objectives.
More broadly, the Legacy Giving Program was established to enhance all of our ministries and new initiatives. The program includes the General Fund, Evangelism & Worship Fund, Speaker Series Fund and the Scholarship Fund as well as the Capital Fund.
What ministry, initiative, or capital project will inspire you to want to see your dollars at work at MDPC in your lifetime?
A common misconception of Legacy Giving is that it’s only made through your will or estate. Though estate bequests are an important part of any Legacy program, giving today to initiatives about which you are passionate means you get to see the effects of your gift! You can enhance the ministries and missions of MDPC by making financial resources available for special projects and initiatives over and above the annual budget and to insure the future of MDPC.
